What our clients say

Singapore - Jan 2020

Singapore – Jan 2020

1. Location: Champasak is a very small town and it does not take a long time to traverse the length of it on foot. That said, this hotel is along the main stretch, within easy reach of restaurants and the few attractions within the town. It has grounds that overlook the Mekong as well, which makes it really pretty.

2. Rooms: Very spacious, very comfortable. Beautifully designed, with a good mix of Laotian details and modern comforts. Lighting, room amenities, and the bathroom and toilet were all simply very pleasing and made our stay there a really great one. Wifi connection is great too.

3. Amenities: The building is a sensibly and sensitively restored old building, and like the rooms, it was beautifully decorated with aesthetic art pieces. The grounds have lush manicured and well-kept grounds. Breakfast at the restaurant was sumptuous and delicious!

4. Staff: I saved the best for last. To be honest, Laos is a very welcoming country and people are generally warm and friendly to tourists. All the hospitality staff I encountered on my trip were great. However, Residence Bassac manages to up these high standards and provided a warmth and hospitality of amazingly high standards. Every staff I encountered was welcoming and seemed genuinely pleased that we were there. I felt like a guest welcomed into someone’s home.

While I might have seen all the sights that I wanted to in Champasak and the area, I really would not mind coming back here just to relax in this place because I felt so comfortable here and really enjoyed this place so much.

Delightful hotel

Heather S

Beautiful residence with lovely rooms, very modern , extremely comfortable beds. I loved that I could have a fan on rather than the air conditioning. All the staff are lovely and very helpful. The restaurant has a great selection of Laos and western meals, great cocktail selection. Would highly recommend a stay at Residence Bassac.
