Each of the 14 rooms at the Residence Bassac has recently been tastefully renovated . Like its big sister in the north “Muang La Lodge”, Residence Bassac is more than a hotel project, it is a personal adventure initiated by a Franco-Lao couple.
The result of this work has created 3 categories of rooms:
- 6 suites – 4 duplex and 2 suites on the Mekong side of our hotel.
- 4 deluxe rooms with garden view.
- 4 superior rooms with 2 twin rooms and 2 double rooms.
The suites on the Mekong side are elegantly decorated with tiles that give them a soft bluish atmosphere. They each have a lounge, a street side terrace and an opening onto our garden with the Mekong in the background. Upstairs, the two superior double rooms, and two upper twin rooms, on the street side, will welcome you with their tasteful wood and granite furnishings. The bright Duplex suites, ideal for families, have a pleasant lounge area and private bathrooms on each floor. The colours, combining solid wood with white walls, make the rooms elegant, intimate and bright.
The spacious, bungalow-style deluxe rooms with garden views have large living and sleeping areas as well as a bright en-suite bathroom. The contemporary design of the rooms enhances your comfort and privacy. They are imbued with gentleness and tranquility where time seems to stop, and where you can enjoy serenity and relaxation. Each of our deluxe suites and deluxe rooms is equipped with a comfortable sofa bed and you can choose between a bath or a shower, depending on your preference. On arrival, you can enjoy fresh local fruits and quality artisanal drinks. The staff of Residence Bassac care about your welcome and they will delicately embalm your room with sweet essential oils for a peaceful sleep.
The decoration of the rooms exudes a unique atmosphere in a modern style, using raw materials, ethnic fabrics and wooden sculptures from all of Laos. Our hotel adopts an approach emphasizing local know-how and expertise. Some of the handicrafts in our hotel can be specially ordered at your request such as, for example, the curtains and traditional dress of the staff that have been tailor-made by a local tailor. Most of the furniture, such as the beautiful chairs and sofa-beds in the rooms, were created by a French designer and fashioned by a carpenter from Champasak. Our luxury bedding is of impeccable comfort and all the equipment runs silently. Both the town and our hotel are idyllic places for reading, writing and relaxation.
